Sara Preisler is a multi award winning jewellery and product designer now celebrating 25 years in business. Based in Birmingham’s creative quarter; Digbeth, Sara owns and runs her own exclusive design gallery with a focus on the very best of British contemporary jewellery. Established in 1993, Sara originally trained as a sculptor before moving to Birmingham’s famous School of Jewellery to complete a post graduate fellowship.
As well as designing, making and selling her own exclusive collections, Sara represents a careful selection of other British designer’s work. Winning a multitude of awards and participating in many press and television features, Sara has undertaken commissions from The V&A, The Royal Shakespeare Company, The Van Gogh Museum Amsterdam and Selfridges to name but few. For Sara, workmanship, originality and authenticity are integral to everything she makes and presents. From fine jewellery, (some handmade in the gallery by Sara herself), to sculptural glass and studio photography, we have selected a rich and diverse range of contemporary pieces all made by the UK’s top makers.

As well as being Voted Best Independent Jewellery Gallery 2018, Sara has also more recently been awarded Contemporary Jewellery Designer of the Year 2019 by Corporate Livewire in their Innovation and Excellence awards. The Sara Preisler Gallery strives to have the best collection of works available to customers in the city of Birmingham and beyond!
From fine jewellery, (handmade in the gallery by Sara herself), to sculptural glass and studio photography, we have selected a rich and diverse range of contemporary pieces all made by the UK’s top makers.
The Sara Preisler Gallery is internationally renowned for showcasing beautiful, contemporary handmade jewellery alongside other innovative design pieces. An independent jeweller since 1993, Sara sells her own bespoke collections from this space as well as some of the UK’s leading designer-makers. Sara herself has worked with a wide range of clients to include The Royal Shakespeare Company, The Van Gogh Museum and Selfridges, and recently, an exclusive collection for the V&A . She also works on private jewellery commissions by appointment.
The gallery is located within The Custard Factory, Birmingham’s revolutionary new arts and media quarter. It is within this space that Sara represents over seventy of the UK’s leading designer makers with collections ranging from a wide range of studio jewellery, to ceramics, silverware, textiles, wire sculpture, glass and photography. Alongside the gallery’s regular artists, Sara promotes and curates a range of bi-monthly exhibitions focusing on international contemporary makers looking toward the more intellectual aspects of contemporary design.
A beautiful space, proudly awarded the status of a ‘Reason to visit England’ by Visit Britain.com, in both 2012 and 2014, you can now access and buy Sara’s distinctive jewellery by limited edition release, alongside exclusive pieces from some of the best contemporary makers from the UK.
Following Government guidelines we are open only Thursdays- Saturdays
Our absolute priority is to keep you and our team members safe and for a trial period of time, we will only be opening Thursday – Saturdays 11am-5pm till we all can come back to work safely.
During this time we may operate a little differently for a while but please bear with us while we all adjust to the new normal!

Even though the Gallery is now OPEN we ARE AVAILABLE to process any orders and queries as usual though order delivery times may be just that little bit longer than normal.
