Japanese Tea Ceremony

Portraying stories and meanings embedded within the porcelain forms through print and surface texture. This work focuses on the abandonment of places once seen as important to society. It aims to give its viewer a sense of history to these places through prints of photos and text echoing as ghostly reminders of the past between the layers of decay and dereliction seen in modern times, illustrated through the forms and textures of the work.
